Administratively terms, the Zhanbyrshy Field belongs to Syrdarya district of Kyzylorda region of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In 2011, the “Project of exploration works in the Contract Area No. 1057 of the SSM-Oil LLP Company for exploration of hydrocarbon raw materials” was drawn up. According to this project, works were carried out to study and assess the oil and gas content in the Lower Cretaceous, Upper and Middle Jurassic, Paleozoic roof on the structures of Western Zhanbirshy, and Zhanbirshy. According to this project, 3 exploratory wells were drilled at the Zhanbyrshy field.
The industrial significance of the identified oil and gas saturated reservoirs has been proved by testing and obtaining oil and gas inflows in the wells of Zhanbirshy 1 and Zhanbyrshy 2.
